QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT FOR THE
2004 COSTA RICA OPEN
On the 11th and 12th of December, 2003,
the second Qualifying Tournament for the 2004 Costa
Rica Open took place at the Valle del Sol Golf Course.
This competition is part of the famous Tour de las Américas,
and it is the first time that it will take place on
our golf course from the 16th to the 22nd of February,
2004.
The qualifying tournament was divided into two 18-hole
rounds, with the participation of 17 professional players.
Even though the weather conditions weren't good, the
soaking golf course and the strong winds didn't stop
Álvaro Ortiz (who shot 2 over Par the first day
and 2 under Par the second) and Alejandro Duque from
achieving the pass to the Costa Rica Open, 2004. Clark
Burroughs was the first to qualify from the Credomatic
Tournament which took place on the 8th of November,
so altogether there are now 3 qualified players who
will represent Costa Rica.

PARTICIPATION AT THE CHRISTMAS
LIGHTING
To commemorate the beginning of the Christmas season,
the inauguration of the lighting of the main entrance
of the residential area took place for the first time
on Sunday, 30th of November. Many families participated
in this activity, which was planned by a group of very
helpful neighbours: Mrs. Alicia and Mrs. Aldys with
the support of Mrs. Constancia, and was organized by
Habitasul and Avesol. Once again, the community was
reunited successfully to enjoy a moment of happiness
along with the warmth of a delicious hot chocolate.
Both children and adults were enchanted by the Valle
del Sol Choir, and marveled by the spectacular fireworks
that ended the evening.
